We are headed to the Cardiologist today. It’s time for The Rascals check up. A good report is expected. We are looking forward to the words “Everything looks good. Keep doing what you are doing. We don’t want to see you again for another six months to a year.”
I am visited by ghosts today, ghosts of the NICU stay, the daily echocardiograms, the wildly fluctuating oxygen saturations and fear that she wouldn’t be with us long.
Udate:
The appointment went very well. Her EKG was normal, there no longer is and audible murmur and the valves sound normal. We did indeed hear "We don't want to see you again for another year."
